A nice review by Olivia Robinson in the University of Prince Edward Islands student newsblog. It's nice to know that the work is appreciated and is having the intended effect. |

The Installing at the Confederation Center Art Gallery in Charlottetown
Shipping day! I'm always relieved when the work gets there safely. |
Lots of work to do to get the paintings sized for the new walls. |
The room was huge, really big walls. |
We received great support from everyone at the gallery, especially from Ben Dickerson, the preparator for the gallery. Careful, smart and steady; Ben was great to work with, a real pleasure. |
Sarah and I working on the East wall. |
The opening went very well. We had a huge crowd (not many in this shot but this was at the start). |
We were lucky to have some extra help. Sophie Routhier LeBlanc and Yulia Dea Nesty are volunteers with the gallery. They were a godsend, lending a hand when we needed it most. Many thanks to them. |
Here we are. The curators of the show Peter Dykhuis and Corinna Ghaznavi, myself, and Sarah. Many thanks to all. |

Installation shots from Other Worlds at the Barnicke
In the east gallery we wrapped the whale around a corner. |
The wave and moon were positioned opposite the whale. |
The wave fit nicely on the wall. |
Heres a view of the moon' and text paintings. |
There were some nice views through the hallway. |
This is a view of the west gallery. |
The bridge was wrapped around 3 walls. |
Tomb and mask. |
The gallery was immersed in blue tile. |

Installing at the Barnicke
We've wrapped the walls in blue tiles. |
The works are floor to ceiling and corner to corner.
|
Almost all of the paintings from the Other Worlds show are up at the Barnicke.
|
Christopher Regimbal is the Exhibition Project Coordinator at the Barnicke. Fabulous support, all that was needed was there. Many thanks. |

'Other Worlds' installation in Halifax
I'm in Halifax installing the 'Other Worlds' exhibition at Dalhousie Art Gallery.
We just finished thanks to the great help from the team here. Peter Dykuis and Corinna Ghaznavi are the curators of the show, and Peter is also the director of the gallery here. He's been a real support during the final days when the crunch was on.
Wes Johnston adjusting the lighting on the figure. Its a tricky job because of the size of the works and the glare but he handled it nicely. Besides gallery assistant, Wes also handles communication and outreach at the gallery.
Robin Metcalf, director of the St. Marys University gallery dropped by to chat and preview the show.

Talking with Sym Corrigan who handles communication and design for the gallery. Sym will design the catalog for the show, I'm looking forwards to it. |
Doyle and myself finishing off the wave. |
